Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: September 25, 2026

Make AI Video turns text and images into short AI-generated videos. This policy explains what you may not create, how we check content, what happens when the rules are broken, and how anyone — including people who don't use our service — can report a problem. It is part of our Terms of Service.

Prohibited content

You must not upload, generate or attempt to generate any of the following:

1. Sexual content and nudity

Pornography, sexually explicit or sexualised content, and nudity of any kind — including 'undressing' a person in an uploaded photo.

2. Violence and gore

Graphic violence, gore, visible serious injury, torture, cruelty to animals, and content that promotes self-harm or terrorism.

3. Hate speech

Content that attacks, demeans or incites hatred or discrimination against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other protected characteristic, including hateful symbols used approvingly.

4. Child safety

Any content that sexualises, endangers, abuses or exploits minors. There are no exceptions, including 'fictional' or 'aged-up' framing. We report suspected child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities and preserve the records they need.

5. Deepfakes and impersonation

Depicting a real, identifiable person without their consent, putting someone into a scene they did not take part in, face swaps of people who have not agreed, and anything designed to make viewers believe a real person said or did something they did not. Public figures, politicians and celebrities are included.

6. Copyright and trademark infringement

Uploading material you don't have the rights to, or generating content that copies protected characters, logos, brands or artwork in a way that infringes the owner's rights or suggests an endorsement that doesn't exist.

Also prohibited: harassment or bullying of any person, content that is unlawful where you or we are located, and trying to get around our filters (for example by misspelling words or hiding instructions in another language).

Photos of real people

Several of our tools (hug, kiss, face swap, talking photo, image to video) work from a photo you upload. Before every generation that uses an upload, you confirm that you have the right to use the files and that anyone recognisable in them has agreed. That confirmation is recorded with the request.

If you are in a photo someone else uploaded and you did not agree, use the report form — these reports are handled first.

How we moderate

  • Before generation. Every prompt is checked against our own blocklist, which we update whenever a new evasion shows up. It blocks sexual content, anything involving minors, harassment of real people, violence, hate speech, self-harm instructions and deepfake requests, in English and the other languages our users write in, with stricter rules when a photo of a person is uploaded. Prompts that name public figures or copyrighted characters and brands are logged for review. Blocked prompts are never sent to a model.
  • After generation, before delivery. Frames from finished videos are checked by an automated image classifier before the video is shown to you. Videos that fail are not delivered, and the credits are returned.
  • At the model level. The models we use apply their own safety filters on top of ours.
  • Human review. Borderline automated decisions, all reports, and every account suspension are reviewed by a person. We keep a log of automated decisions and of the human decisions made on them.

Enforcement

Depending on how serious the breach is, we may:

  • refuse the request or withhold the generated video;
  • remove content from your account;
  • forfeit credits obtained through abuse (for example, from duplicate accounts);
  • suspend or permanently close the account — clear breaches of the sexual-content, child-safety or harassment rules lead to automatic suspension;
  • block the devices and sign-up details used to return after a ban;
  • report unlawful content, and always suspected child sexual abuse material, to the relevant authorities.

If a paid account is closed under this policy, we refund it as described in section 4.3 of the Terms.

Reporting content

Anyone can report content made with Make AI Video — you don't need an account. Use the report form or email support@makeaivideo.net with a link to the content and what is wrong with it.

Every report goes straight to a person. We aim to act within 24 hours, and immediately for child-safety and non-consensual intimate content. We remove content that breaks this policy, take action on the account behind it, and reply to you if you leave an email address.

AI-generated content

Everything our service produces is AI-generated. When you share or publish a video made with Make AI Video, don't present it as real footage, and label it as AI-generated wherever the platform you post on asks for that or a viewer could be misled.

Appeals

Automated filters make mistakes. If a prompt or video was blocked, or your account was suspended, and you think we got it wrong, email support@makeaivideo.net from your account email. A person will review it and reply.
