We run Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast on credits. A Veo 3 Fast generation costs 30 credits here and a Veo 3 quality generation costs 125, against the 30 free credits every new account starts with. No card to try it, and the same account also runs Runway, Kling and ByteDance V1 Pro.
On this site: 125 credits per generation, against 30 free credits on sign-up.
Not through the API — every generation is billed. Google does bundle Veo access into some consumer AI plans, with its own monthly quota. If you want to try a generation without setting up billing anywhere, you can run Veo 3 Fast here on the 30 credits a new account gets.
That is Google's own wording on the Vertex AI pricing page, and the page does not spell out what one count covers. We are quoting it as published rather than converting it into a per-clip figure — check the source link before you budget against it.
Fast trades some quality for speed and costs roughly a quarter as much per generation ($0.10 vs $0.40 with audio). Here that maps to 30 credits versus 125.
3.1 is the newer line and its Lite tier is the cheapest Google publishes — $0.03 per unit for 720p video without audio, against $0.20 for Veo 3. Quality tracks price in the order you would expect.
